# Scoring

Witnora scoring starts at 100 and applies deterministic penalties:

- critical: -45
- high: -20
- medium: -10
- low: -3

Critical violations force the compatibility field `cert_level` to `Not certified`,
which current Witnora reports display as `No assurance tier`.

Levels:

- Platinum: 95+
- Gold: 90+
- Silver: 80+
- Bronze: 70+
- No assurance tier: critical violation or low score (serialized as the legacy
  `Not certified` value)

Scores are explainable through violations and scorer evidence.
